Where is my data stored?
On the free tier, right inside your browser on your own device. It is not synced anywhere. If you upgrade to Pro, your saved jobs sync to your private cloud account so you can open them from any browser. The free tier stays fully local.
Does it work on jobs from any board?
Yes. The capture sidebar appears automatically on the job boards LinProfi supports, and for anything else you can add a role manually in one tap with the Add job button.
What happens if I uninstall the extension?
Chrome removes the extension storage along with the extension. Export to CSV first if you want a backup.
Why does the extension need permission to read job pages?
To read the job title, company, and apply link off the job page you are looking at. It only runs on the job boards LinProfi supports, and reads nothing else.
What does Pro cost, and what stays free?
Pro is $6 a month, billed $18 quarterly. Quarterly because that is about how long a job search runs: you renew only if it takes longer. It adds cloud sync across devices, a web dashboard at app.linprofi.com, resume and cover letter builders with AI help, a profile that travels with you, a curated job board with smart matches for your stack, and the option to be visible to companies that are hiring. Everything in the free extension stays free and local.
Can I build a resume and cover letter?
Yes, on Pro. The web app at app.linprofi.com has a resume builder and a cover letter builder. Both start from your profile, so your details fill in automatically. Pick a tracked job and the cover letter is tailored to it. Arrange the sections, preview live, and download a clean PDF that also lands in your documents.
What are the AI features?
On Pro, the builders include AI help. The resume tool rewrites your summary and experience into tight, achievement-focused lines and gives you a recruiter-style review of the whole resume. The cover letter tool drafts a tailored letter from your profile and the job you picked, in the tone you choose. It never invents facts you did not provide, and you can edit every word.
Can companies see my profile?
Only if you turn it on. Visibility is off by default. When you enable it you choose exactly which fields are shared, and your notes, private saved jobs, and uploaded files are never published. Turn it off any time and your profile leaves the search index.
I am hiring. How does the company side work?
Companies use a separate web console to post roles and search candidates who opted in. Applications happen on your own platform: each posting carries your apply link, the way job boards normally work. LinProfi does not manage applications for you. The company plan, HR Pro, is 110 USD every 3 months.
